Check your team’s platform pair

The linked Steam and PlayStation listings establish platform availability and online-play features. Neither checked listing explicitly establishes the mixed-platform pairs below. “Unconfirmed” means evidence is missing, not that a connection test failed.

Windows Steam players
Steam online co-op is listed. For the normal lobby workflow, use the online multiplayer guide.
Windows Steam ↔ macOS Steam
Both operating systems have listed requirements. The checked sources do not explicitly confirm mixed-system lobbies; this guide has no independent mixed-system test.
Steam ↔ PS5
The console edition is announced. Shared PC–PS5 lobbies remain unconfirmed in the checked sources. See the PS5 release status.

Can Windows and Mac players join each other?

A game supporting both operating systems does not, by itself, establish shared lobbies. The available system requirements tell you whether there is a build for your computer; they are not a multiplayer compatibility matrix.

This page does not label the combination unsupported either. An explicit developer statement or a documented test of the same game version would resolve the gap. No such test is claimed here.

Can PC players play with PS5 friends?

An announced console edition and a crossplay feature are separate facts. Do not plan a mixed-platform purchase around an assumed connection. Check the PS5 page for the release date status and official store link.

Online co-op, crossplay and saves

  • Online co-op means playing together online; it does not identify every compatible platform pair.
  • Crossplay concerns joining the same game across platforms or systems.
  • Cross-save and cross-progression concern carrying saves or progress between versions, not joining a lobby.
  • Room codes identify a lobby. A code does not prove that another platform can access it.

What should your team do next?

Update note: this page now distinguishes the announced console version from unconfirmed crossplay. The source-check date above is not a crossplay announcement date.
